The award will be presented on Saturday, 9 May 2026, at the Parklane Resort in Limassol, Cyprus, as the closing event of the Cyprus Diaspora Forum® — the annual celebration recognising the outstanding achievements and contributions of Cypriots and friends of Cyprus across the globe.

Mr. Poullaides is recognised for his decades of leadership in the construction industry, building Poullaides Construction Company into a respected regional force, headquartered in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with active operations across Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Cyprus. His work has contributed significantly to the built environment of the region, whilst maintaining a steadfast commitment to quality, integrity, and Cypriot values on an international stage. In addition to his role at PCC, Mr. Poullaides serves as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Cyprus in the Kingdom of Bahrain — a position that reflects both his standing within the Cypriot diaspora and his enduring dedication to the interests of Cyprus and its people abroad.

The CYDIA Awards® are presented annually by the Cyprus Diaspora Forum® and celebrate Cypriots who have made a meaningful impact in their respective fields and industries worldwide. This year’s ceremony brings together distinguished honourees from the worlds of business, philanthropy, media, and public service, with the Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Christos A. Poullaides is recognised for nearly five decades of leadership and contribution to the international construction sector. A professionally qualified civil engineer and Commonwealth Scholar, he is the Founder, Chairman, and Managing Director of the Poullaides Group of Companies, a multinational organisation of 12 companies, operating across six countries and employing over 3,000 people, with more than 650 successfully delivered civil engineering and building projects. His career is distinguished by technical excellence, sustained commercial growth, and commitment to the highest international standards. In parallel with his business achievements, Mr. Poullaides serves as Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Cyprus in the Kingdom of Bahrain and demonstrates a deep commitment to social responsibility through the Christos Poullaides Foundation, supporting impactful initiatives in Health, Education, and Sports. 

The ceremony and Gala Dinner will take place at the Parklane Resort in Limassol on 9 May 2026, as the culminating event of the Cyprus Diaspora Forum®, bringing together leaders from across the global Cypriot community.
